What does the Bible say about crystals

Bible is the account of God’s action in the world and his purpose with all of creation. Written over sixteen centuries ago, this book is a guide for living life to the fullest. This book offers us an insight into who we are and tells us about how God has always been there for us and gave us purpose and destiny. The Bible is also a book that guides us in the right direction and helps us to find the right path amidst a chaotic and fast-paced world. Crystals, which also have been there with us for centuries, are also mentioned in the Holy Bible. These beautiful stones are gifted to mankind by nature, which is God himself. So what does Bible have to say about these stones?

Crystals of all types are mentioned in the bible many times. This holy book mentions rubies (Proverbs 8:11), sapphires (Lamentations 4:7) and topaz (Job 28:19). In Exodus 39:10-13, the Bible states how the breastplate worn by the Leviticus high-priest contained twelve stones including turquoise, lapis lazuli, agate, amethyst, emerald and many more. The river flowing from the heavenly throne is “as clear as crystal” (Revelation 22:1), area before the throne is something like “a sea of glass, clear as crystal” (Revelation 4:6), and “spread out above the heads of the living creatures was what looked something like a vault, sparkling like crystal, and awesome” (Ezekiel 1:22) are some of the other examples where you can find the references of crystals in the Bible. Also, in Revelation 21:11, & 18-20 NIV the Bible shares the description of the holy city of Jerusalem. "It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. "

“For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.” (Colossians 1:16). As you can see here, the Bible states that all the things in this world are created by God, and that includes the crystals as well. However, the Bible never assigned any mystical properties to these crystals. On the contrary, the Bible warns strongly against engaging in anything that is related to superstition or occult. Bible also stated that (Deuteronomy 18:10-12) this practice of occult was detestable to God.

According to the Bible, true healing can only be given by Him and all other things that are said to have magical properties are a superstition. Having said this, there are many people in this world who have witnessed their life change after using the crystals. So, in the end, it all comes down to your own personal experience and belief in the Almighty.
